Okay, this was inspired by me, trying and failing to draw the Mario Bros. Yeah, I was replaying Super Paper Mario and fell in love with these two all over again. But when I tried to draw them, I just couldn't get those noses and mustaches right darn it!

So I figured there was only one solution... Make my own anime-ish version!

In my version, these two are teenagers who do not yet possess the ability to grow facial hair. Don't ask me what happened to their noses. I just figure that they shrunk during adolescence, and magically grew again during adulthood.

Though I have changed their clothes along with many other things, I made sure to keep many other characteristics in mind. For example, Luigi is still quite taller then Mario, and is also slimmer. I've turned the golden button's on their jumpsuits into shirt buttons on Luigi, and shoe latches on Mario. Luigi's pants are rolled up on the bottom unlike Mario's, because if you look at the original picture, his overall bottoms are rolled up as well. They still wear jeans, and their main color is seen throughout their clothing. Additionally, their shoes are still brown. Of course, I hardly even have to mention that I kept their hats.

I had a lot of fun designing their clothes, and think that I did an okay job. I simply adore Luigi's pants along with the design of Mario's shoes.

The leaves and grass were made in Photoshop CS3, with the paintbrush (cuz I don't have enough skill) and the clouds were made using this tutorial. --> [link]
